As spring arrives in our part of the world, we are tempted to take her out camping as she was made to do.

The body on this baby is arrow straight.
The two tone paint job looks really sharp.
Driver quality paint has a few small chips consistently around the body but are almost unnoticeable until you get up real close on her.
There are a couple of larger spots, one on the bottom of the driver door and another on the bottom of the driverside panel.
The passenger doors are just a bit tight with the new weather-stripping so it takes a little effort to close them.
You will see a few paint chips where the doors have rubbed against each other when opening and closing.
Overall though she is absolutely gorgeous, perfect to have as a daily driver for picking up the kids or running away for the weekend! Interior:
The inside of this bus is stunning.
With brand new carpet, brand new upholstery, and a brand new headliner, she is looking sharp! There are seatbelts for 9 people already installed and dinette with seating for four which is easy to take in and out.
The back seat lays down into a spacious and surprisingly comfortable bed! The spare tire is located behind the front passenger seat.
It is easily accessible by simply leaning the seat forward.
Glass/Windows:
The glass in all the windows is in fantastic shape.
One small chip in the windshield on the driver side is the only flaw in the glass we see.
Windows open and close easily.
Trunk/Bed:
The back hatch opens and closes perfectly, holding itself up when open.
Plenty of cargo space when the seats are up and even more if you lay them down into the bed position.
Undercarriage:
The underneath of this girl is where she really shines! Very minimal rust anywhere on body and even less underneath! One little spot under the front fender.
The fender wells are spotless and painted to match the exterior.
Rocker panels have two little spots of rust.
Very small bit of rust on the driver side floor panel and a little patch on the passenger side.
Overall super minimal rust anywhere! Wheels/Tires:
Brand new tires on original style wheels and hub caps.
All in great shape.
Convertible Top:
Rag top is brand new, replaced with all the interior upholstery.
It opens and closes with ease.
The drip rail is very clean.
The latch inside works great.
While we've had her, she has been garage kept and never rained on.
There are no signs of ever leaking from the top.
MECHANICAL Drivetrain:
This is the little engine that can! She drives wonderfully.
Very quiet going down the road.
The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all gears with a short shifter on the floor.
She just had a full tune up on the 1600cc engine and on the dual carburetors.
She drives so well, we are tempted to make her a daily driver for us before she goes! The engine bay is exceptionally clean and well maintained.
Lights/Electrical:
Headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals and fog lights are all hooked up and working.
The interior cap light is also functional.
Even the horn works, sending out the iconic VW beep! Brakes:
Power disc brakes stop straight and strong, no pulling to either side.
